This is a cool little gadget for all water lovers I’ve found. The Finis SwiMP3.1G – clever huh – is a waterproof MP3 player that transmits sound waves through your cheek bones. Yes, you read well, no headphones, no muffled sounds, and 100% of bone sound vibrations transferred directly to the inner ear. The Finis SwiMP3.13G features 1GB of storage, along with an 8-hour battery lithium-ion battery that charges through USB. File transfer is done by simple drag and drop, and the device plays MP3 and WMA formats. Apple and Windows are supported as well, so most of you will be covered in that regard.

While these specifications are impressive, but not really impressive if you know what I mean, what is most definitely fresh on SwiMP3.1G is its ability to make sweet sweet music without a headset that is. Using an innovative sound technology that transmits sound through the cheekbones to the inner ear, the SwiMP3.1G manages to avoid the pitfalls of other designs of waterproof MP3.

Basically, the SwiMP3.1G uses the principles of sound conduction, where sound waves are single vibrating through the bones and fluids of the inner ear connection. This allows swimmers and water lovers to enjoy the type of output high quality sound that previously was reserved for the people of the land of love. The device itself can be ascribed to a pair of swimming goggles or a visor, so you have one of these in order to be useful.

The SwiMP3.1G Finis has a built in on / off button, along with an MP3 control panel with next / previous, volume, pause, and shuffle. 1GB capacity should give you about 240 songs, which I guess is enough, even for marathon swimmers there among you. The SwiMP3.1 sells for $ 149.95, while not cheap, not too bad for a product as innovative and unique.
