A turnkey platform for content delivery on the iPhone and iPod touch will soon be delivering interactive content to its first client, a major record company.
On Monday, Kyte launched its iPhone Apps Framework, which enables content partners to create and deliver video, chat, RSS feeds and Twitter, as well as advertising, without having to develop the platform. The first content provider to utilize this platform is the Interscope Geffen A & M (IGA) Company, part of Universal Music Group.
Five bands
IGA first applications of the platform for the promotion of five bands – The All American Rejects, Keri Hilson, Lady Gaga, The Pussycat Dolls, and Soulja Boy Tell ’Em. Other features include custom user marks, comments, ratings and share.
The videos are produced by the acts, the RSS feed will contain news about the artists, and built-in chat and exchange promotes social marketing. Although free, the artist applications contain advertising links to each act of songs from the iTunes Store of Apple.
Kyte has indicated that it is up to the licensing of content monetization partner how you will produce. Some partners can charge for the application and waive the advertising, for example. Applications for each event will also be available on the Apps Store.
Kyte’s business model calls for media companies like IGA to leave the platform so they can deliver their content and building their own hosting platform. The artist uses do not provide the entire song, but to promote the purchase of songs offering exclusive content like behind the scenes videos, chat, and fragments of songs.

Headquartered in San Francisco, Kyte is focused on providing a universal platform of digital media "for both computers and mobile devices for the production, distribution and monetization of digital content. Kyte has been in the business of helping artists to create videos with mobile phones, and then distribute them through the kyte.tv VCR, video using Flash.
The mobile content delivery platform offered through its mobile Infomedia Syndication Solutions, which also allows content providers to their customers to fill their requests with audios, videos, calendars, PDFs and RSS feeds or Twitter.
Bill Ho, an analyst at Current industry research firm Analysis, said Kyte’s success in the first content partner for your platform "shows the value of the iPhone" as a convenient way to reach demographics.
