I like simple phones. So help me, I do, there’s something about a phone that focuses on making and receiving calls, with some extra options thrown, which is a return to basics type of resource to it. And the LG Shine II will be a great example of this type of resource.
The LG Shine II offers a phone book with up to a thousand entries, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recorder, GPS, access to AT & T Navigator, Mobile Web, mobile email, alarm clock, a slot for microSD cards, calendar , notepad, calendar, speakerphone, a world clock, instant access to major messaging suites (AOL IM, Windows Live, MSN and Yahoo IM), a two megapixel camera with 2x zoom, self timer and shoot low light, a battery that provides three hours and twenty minutes of talk time on a single charge and a variety of applications and games with more available for download, though many of them require subscriptions.
There is much that I’m less than happy with the low battery-life, applications that require a subscription to use, not to mention that you must remove the cover to get to the MicroSD card slot. But still, there is quite a bit here for people who do not need their phones to do a lot. Not too cheap on the camera and even video playback on this thing is terrible.
In fact, “not terrible” is a great way to describe all of the LG Shine II. While there are some things wrong with it, does not necessarily preclude you from an enjoyable experience cell phone and realized in its entirety. You should get along here, if you’re not going to wait long.
