Pentax Japan has announced a new limited edition variant of its recently announced Kx single-lens reflex digital drawing inspiration from a popular series of toys made by hand.
The Pentax Kx Korejanai robot model will be available exclusively from the Pentax web store in Japan a very limited number. Only a hundred groups will be sold with a matching Korejanai Model Robot limited edition version of smc PENTAX-DA L 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL lens, both with the camera body and lens are identical to their standard counterparts with ’except the color of the body panel / markings. Incredibly, the edition of Kx Korejanai somehow manages to make the Japanese version of Kx market – with its vast range of user-selectable color body – seems even pedestrian.
Created by Japanese designer ZariganiWorks news, the company behind such bizarre objects as a hub of ’Self Destruct Button’ USB Korejanai is a very colorful character robot that apparently developed quite a following in Japan. The Pentax Kx Korejanai follows the color scheme of the robot eclectic, as are other stylistic traits including markings around popup flash camera and editing Korejanai prism that mimic those on the face and chest.
Prices for the Pentax Kx Korejanai Robot Model of correspondence with 18-55mm DA-L target is set at ¥ 79,800 inclusive of taxes (roughly equivalent to U.S. $ 880, ignoring the fluctuations of exchange rates and taxes). Sales begin November 2 at 10 am Japanese time, with availability in the same month.
