An undisclosed source has apparently told VG247 that Sony’s PlayStation 3 is in because a drastic interface overhaul in an upcoming pre-holiday firmware refine. PS3 Firmware 3.0 (v2.8 was just released–see pic greater) cede be "a completely new system," writes the site, citing its source as metier the update "a whopping overhaul," comparable to Microsoft’s another Xbox Experience "in some respects."
According to the source, extra features will include a mechanism for rating other players (influential the Xbox 360’s had since launch), an alternative to report disruptive players to Sony and submit screen captures of their nefarious deeds, the choice to download patches in the background, and the ability to output HDMI video also digital optical audio simultaneously.
VG247 claims they’ve been told "a lot more" but isn’t disclosing what module of that adeptness be. If I had to guess, given half-formed rumors, Sony’s planning to debut a slimmer, cheaper, fresh fully-featured PS3 now we commander wholesome the holidays. Don’t describe it a wipe out makeover, but enough of a shift to turn heads besides pick up sales during a particularly not easy sales period. We’re halfway since these systems’ life cycles, and Sony’s done overmuch poorly by nearly anyone’s standards (most of all, its confess). undeniable clearly needs some leading wins, again fast.

What won’t: Gran Turismo 5, God of tussle 3, Heavy Rain, scorching cavalryman Chronicles, The Last Guardian, and Final Fantasy XIII, unabbreviated at one time 2009 exclusives, whereas bumped to 2010.
And since there’s what’s missing from the VG247 firmware list. Where’s the possibility to go back further play PlayStation 2 games? What about global reply chat? Social media compatibility, including Twitter further Facebook integration? dark (again radically faster) trophy synchronization?
